- Explain adaptive and how the different paper from by the "finches" helped or hurt that particular "finch species"
"The evolutionary of different forms from an originally homogeneous group of organisms as they fill different ecological niches". Each new group or generation often grater diversifying.
2. With the" prey" survival data you collect, graph survivor ship over time by each species.
3. Explain how behavioral adaptations may lead to genetic changes in a population
There are some factors that include the behavioral adaptation, but the main one is, climate change. However organisms are constantly evolution in order to survive. It's also include to gains to the predators and the competitors.
4. A species that has a behavioral adaptation that may allow its predator not to be able to eat it or find it. Explain what this behavioral adaption is.
Wallaroo; It lives in rocky outcrops or stone ground. It has furry pads on feet, to climb rocks. It get water from the ground, so this specie is not found at that place because animals don't go there.
There is not water, is a very rocky place, is not a reason why different species to go.
5. A species that has a physical characteristic that allows it to survive in cold weather
Emperor Penguin : A thick layer of blubber (fat) also helps to keep the penguin warm when swimming in the icy ocean. To help it adapt even more to the intense cold of its habitat, this penguin has special nasal passages so that it loses very little heat when breathing out. Its flippers and legs are also specially adapted to reduce heat loss.
6. A specie that has a physical adaptation that allows it to survive from its predators
Parrofish : this fish excrete a mucus cocoon, particularly at night.prior to going sleep, some species extrude mucus from their mouths, forming a protective cocoon that envelops and secures the fish at a particularity location and presumably hides its scent from predators.
7.An example of mutualism in nature. Explain what mutual ism is this case
Algae and Fongi: Algae do the photosynthesis and the fungi provides water.
The orchid grow on branches of trees, the orchid benefits from the tree, but the it doesn't harm the tree.
9.An example of mimicry in nature. Explain what the mimicry is this case.
butterflies have on their rings a powder which is bad for people for example. most children like to play with them because they are pretty but they can not capture because of the powder.
10. One species of plant from Honduras that has an adaptation that let it survive. Explain
Ceiba, this tree has thorn to protect itself from predator, it is very tall.

Hi Raquel,
ReplyDeleteNice lab. I think something happened with the graph, needs some fixing, and on answer 1 you copy pasted from another website to answer the whole question, I cannot grade it as your work.
Nice examples and pictures. You got 8/10.
Regards,
Shadia
